A new battery tester is being installed at SINTEF in Trondheim. Installation will be finalized in the fall of 2025.
The location of the tester is at Torgardsveien 12, 7093 Tiller.
The equipment is from Elektro-Automatik and is bidirectional power unit.
Some of the capabilities of the new tester include:
- Testing battery modules and packs up to 1500 V (360 A @ 1500V and 720 A @ 750 V)
- Bidirectional power with 540 kW test capacity
- Fully programmable test protocols
- Data exchange with proprietary BMS while testing
- 16 channels for temperature measurements by placing thermocouples in the module/pack
